How to get one|
All of our precious metal masonic rings are available with a lineage number for no additional cost. Just select the lineage number option at configuration. A lost ring without a lineage number is gone forever, there is simply no way connect a lost ring with its owner. For rings with lineage numbers, being lost is often a temporary state. It is hoped that eventually a brother will see it and lookup its lineage number so it can be returned. We are now also offering free lineage numbers to all of our customers old and new. Just create an account with the email address you used to make your purchase and you will be able to generate a free, unique lineage number for every item you have ever purchased.
Can I get a lineage number to put on a product I bought from someone else or already have?
If you purchased a ring from us in the past, you can have a lineage number issued free. If you already have the ring however, you are responsible for having the number engraved. You can issue one lineage number for each item you have ever purchased from us. If you wish to use one of the numbers on an item that you did not purchase from us, that is fine too!
Can I enter old information to a lineage number?
Of course, you can add as much information as you like.
But some letters and numbers look the same?
We thought of that and dropped all of the confusingly similar characters from our algorithm.
Can I request a specific number or letter combination?
No, our lineage numbers are automatically generated to be unique, non-sequential and unguessable.
Is it possible to guess a lineage number?
There are over 10 trillion (10^13) possible combinations so it is not likely someone will be able to guess it.
